Last week, I had the opportunity to attend yet another wonderful edition of the Word Saxophone Congress in Gran Canaria this time! The World Saxophone Congress is a fantastic event which enables us saxonerds to get together, discover new music, make new friends and catch up with old ones!
For this edition, I have been invited by Andy Scott to join the Tenor Saxophone Collective. This year’s Tenor Saxophone Collective existed off João Pedro Silva, Henrique Portovedo, Sofia Sena, Pawel Gusnar, Joshua Hyde, Jenni Watson, Rob
Buckland, Jeroen Vanbever, Alfonso Padilla & Andy Scott. We played beautiful new works by Jenni Watson, Joshua Hyde and Lennert Baerts and an arrangement of Ryo Noda’s ‘The Day Split’.
Now back to work being inspired by so much sun, sea and saxophone!!
